The Nine-Dragon Wall is located in Heyang Street of Datong Ancient City. Dating back more than 600 years. It was built in the early period of the Ming (1368-1644) Dynasty as a screen wall in front of the prince’s mansion of Zhu Gui (1374—1446), the 13rd son of Zhu Yuanzhang (1328—1398), the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. At 8 meters high, 2 meters wide and 45.5 meters long, the wall is engraved with nine dragons. It is the biggest and oldest dragon wall which still in existence in China.
