大同矿产资源丰富，尤以煤炭资源储量最为丰富，是全国最大的煤炭能源基地。近年来，大同强力推进传统产业改造提升和战略性新兴产业发展壮大，形成了以传统能源、新能源为核心，大数据、装备制造、现代医药、文旅康养、特优农业等为突破的产业发展格局。特别是近年来抢抓数字经济发展机遇，持续加快数据呼叫、标注、清洗等数字服务业发展，大同经济正在加快由“输煤炭、输电力”向“输数据、输算力”转变。

Datong is rich in mineral resources, especially so in coal reserves. Thus, the city is one of the largest coal energy bases of China. Datong has been accelerating the transformation from coal and electricity supply base to data, computility and digital services supply base.
