老大同什锦火锅 | Datong Assorted Copper Hotpot
老大同什锦火锅是大同传统佳
肴,用十多种荤素搭配的食材制作
而成。主要食材有烧肉、炸丸子、
鸡块、海参、鱿鱼、干豆角、葫芦
条、干黄花、炸豆腐等。为保证不
破坏锅内菜品的营养成分,器皿使
用大同传统手工制作的黄铜火锅,
并使用果木烧制的木炭作燃料,保
持锅内蓄火稳定,香气四溢。
Datong assorted copper hotpot is one of the most famous specialties in Datong.
The raw materials are a mixture of more than ten different kinds of meats and
vegetables, such as braised pork belly, steamed pork meat ball, boiled chicken, sea
cucumber, squid, dried green beans, dried shredded summer squash, dried day lily,
deep fried Tofu etc. The cooking vessel for assorted hotpot is a kind of Datong
traditional copper hotpot which retains the original taste and nutrition of the food.
The copper hotpot is heated with charcoal which guarantees a stable flame and
delicious food.
百花烧麦 | Datong Flower-shaped Shaomai
烧麦是一种以烫面为皮包馅上笼蒸熟
的面食小吃。大同百花烧麦造型独特、皮薄
肉大、鲜香可口。透明晶亮的薄皮中,包着
鸡、鸭、鱼、牛、羊、猪等九种肉馅,在烧
麦上端制成牡丹、芍药、秋菊等九种花形,
故取名 “百花烧麦”。
Shaomai is a traditional Chinese snack food. It is a kind of steamed
dumpling made of wheat flour filled with minced meat and
vegetables and other ingredients. Datong Flower-shaped Shaomai
has a unique shape, thin skin and a lot of meat filling making it
fresh and delicious. It is wrapped around nine kinds of meat fillings
such as chicken, duck, fish, beef, mutton and pork etc. The top of
the shaomai is made in nine different kinds of flower shapes such as
peony, herbaceous peony and chrysanthemum etc.; this is how it gets
its name Datong flower-shaped Shaomai.
